ESSENCE OF CHRISTMAS

Christmas is very important because this was the day Jesus born. This is the time for giving and sharing. Christmas bring happiness to everyone.   

Christmas is about to come. Everyone is preparing for this special day. They already decorating their houses: putting Christmas lights, lanterns and Christmas tree. I am a true lover of Christmas. Christmas is always a magical time of the year. I think giving gifts in Christmas is just as great as receiving one. Most of the time giving can be even more enjoyable. It is the time when families and close friends come home from other places to be with the people they love. It is always fun to enjoy the company of our family during Christmas.

Christmas will always be the best day of the year. The time we show appreciation to each other. It’s time to spread the joy, love and peace throughout the world.

Climate Change

        A climate change is a long-term change in the Earth’s climate. It may be a change in the average weather conditions or a change in the distribution of weather events. It may be limited to a specific region or may occur across the whole Earth.

        Climate change will affect people and the environment in many ways. The potential future effects of climate change are loss of sea ice, accelerated sea level rise and longer, more intense a heat waves. Climate change is speeding up the cycling of water between the ocean, atmosphere and land, resulting in intense rainfall and droughts at the same time.

        If we don’t act now, climate change will rapidly alter the lands and waters. Many varied solutions have been proposed such as individual frugality, energy conversation measures renewable energy and carbon sequestration.

"Outpouring Hearts and Mind through Literacy and English Proficiency"

                A language is the code we all use to express ourselves and communicate to others. English is the most important language worldwide. Many people all over the world speak English and that number increases everyday.

                English language proficiency is about having knowledge and skills. Literacy is the ability to use both reading and writing. It enhances self-esteem and pride which promotes effective social adjustments. This will help us to obtain a good career an advancement as well as you have to be literate and well educated. We will have a better chance of being accepted and have more opportunities in life.

                English can be challenging and valuable to learn. English is important. It is important because it will help us to have a better life.

Equal Rights Equal Opportunities

We are equal but have different mission in life. Opportunity is a situation that comes to our life. Rights is a freedom, immunity, power or privilege.

          Many states have adopted constitutions providing the equal rights. Equal rights may refer to human rights when such rights are held in common by all people, civil rights when such rights are held in common by all citizens of a nation and women’s rights when such rights are held in common by both men and women.

          It may be true that we have equal legal opportunities but do not have equal opportunities to succeed in real life. 

Focus on Education

            Education is very important to everyone of us. We will not have a fine job without an education. We always exert our efforts to have a good grades.

            In this second grading, I have learned a lot of new things again. I learned more about computers. We all know that computer is an electronic device that manipulates information, or data. It has the ability to store, retrieve, and process data. Because of our computer class I learned that we can also use this in posting blogs, browse the web and create our own basic HTML files.

            Yeah, I know that having a problem is normal and we can’t do anything but to face it. Quizzes, activities, projects and exam is not that complicated problem compare to others. But for us students this is really hard problem but we always making a way so we can finish and pass it in no time. That’s why we need help from others. And asked advice and support to our friends and family in making time for us because we need their help or assistance.

            Moving on, I will be more dedicated in my studies and its never too late to develop our great study habits so I can be better student so my parents will be proud of me.                      

INTRAMURALS

Intramurals are fun, recreational, social and competitive on-campus sports activities. This is a great opportunity to play sports and hang-out with friends without having to try-out or practice.

            Every year, one of the most anticipated activities in school is the Intramurals. This activity emphasize the enjoyment of sport but still have a competitive edge. Through sports participation it will help to improve self-esteem and provide the students the opportunity to achieve individual and team goals. It will develop your sense of sportsmanship.

            Intramurals are fun and exciting. All in all, the greatest part is the memories and friendships you make. These will live on with you and your friends for life.

My Teacher My Hero

Teachers open windows to the world for their students by giving them the tools and desire to discover their fellow humans. It is through this discovery that we learn one of the most important lessons in life – we have more in common than we have differences. – Allan Mullaly

We can never regret that sometimes we hate them because they give us a lot of homeworks and projects which are difficult for us to do. After all, the laziness that we have shown, still they never give up and never stop to fill us with knowledge. The one who will sacrifice their time just to teach us. We learned a lot of wonderful lessons from them.

I am glad because we have teachers that have the determination, courage and patience to work that can really inspire students. You can be a hero on your simple way. 

"IMMUNATION: Arming Science Clubbers with Healthful Defenses Toward National Wellness"

                All schools in our country is celebrating the Science Month Celebration that is celebrated every month of September.

            The theme for this year celebration is “Immunation: Arming Science Clubbers with Healthful Defenses Toward National Wellness.” The theme is very hard to understand but I know this is good and for the betterment for every individual to protect us from any diseases. Immunization is a simple and effective way of protecting children and adults against certain diseases. (https://www.qld.gov.au/health/conditions/immunisation/benefits/index.html)

            Our goal is to spread this knowledge to our school and in our communities to lead our health and wellness. 

"My Parents are My Heroes"

A real hero for me is the one who is determined to do good or to do what is right. The one who is willing to put their own life at risk.

My parents are true heroes. They sacrifice time, money, love and everything for their children. Our parents will do everything they can so their children will have a better life. I’m happy because I have a parents like them. 

We are just human we are not perfect that’s why we commit mistakes. Like our parents they are not perfect but they always want the best for their children. That’s the reason why I am very thankful because God blessed me and gave me a great parents like them.

"Wika ng Pagkakaisa"

Ang Buwan ng Wika ay ipinagdiriwang ito tuwing buwan ng Agosto bilang pagpapahalaga sa ating wikang pambansa.

Taon-taon ay isinasagawa natin ang pagdiriwang ng "Buwan ng Wika". Ang mga mag-aaral sa pampublikong paaralan at kabilang din ang mga pribadong paaralan ay idinaraos sa tuwing pagsapit ng Agosto. Nagkakaroon ng palatuntunan at paligsahan. Ito ay mga paraan ng bawat paaralan bilang paggunita sa buwan ng wika. Ang pagtangkilik ng ating sariling wika ay isang paraan ng pagkakaisa ng bawat mamamayang Pilipino.

Lahat ng bansa ay may kanya-kanyang wikang ginagamit. Kaya dapat natin tangkilikin ang ating sariling wika para tayo ay lubos na magkaintindihan. Ugaliin natin itong gamitin sa lahat ng oras.

REFLECTION

          

        In first two months for the first grading, I have learned a lot such as blogging, search engines and many more. School works are very stressful but all of this is worth it because I’ve exerted lots of effort to have good grades.

          It’s normal to have problems in life. We have no choice but to face it or else we will be failed. I, myself have also encountered problems during this first grading period like making drafts for my blogs while doing this things laziness is my no.1 enemy.

          All of us needs help from others. In order to solve my problems I asked help to my friends, my parents and most especially to our Almighty God.

          I can’t promise anything but I will do my best to study hard so I will have good grades. And that my parents will be proud of me.  

State of the Nation Address 2014 of President Benigno Aquino III

President Benigno Aquino III successfully delivered his fifth State of the Nation Address (SONA) at the Batasang Pambansa Complex in Quezon City. The SONA 2014 highlights the country’s economy, defenses, public works, education and many more.

This is the fifth president’s SONA and we are expecting him to address him to discuss about the impeachment complaints because of DAP, territorial disputes, pork barrel scam, energy problems and more. He discussed mainly the beauty of what is on the surface. We appreciate the positivity and the improvements of our country.

The President ended his speech with “To my Bosses: You are behind the transformation we are enjoying. You are the key to continuing all the positive changes we have achieved. I fully believe that, whether I am here or not, the Filipino is headed towards the rightful destination.

"Kalamidad Paghandaan Gutom at Malnutrisyon Agapan"

         Good nutrition is key to a healthy body. Without the right nutrients your body can't keep energized and strong. I believe healthy nutrition is the most important factor for maintaining and keeping good health.

Proper nutrition and its maintenance had been one of the most intriguing focuses in the world today. Health Services aimed to prevent health and worsening of malnutrition. July is the month of Nutrition. When nutrition month comes different schools are celebrating and having activities such as essay writing, slogan and poster making that will highlight the importance of good health and disaster preparedness.

Proper nutrition is the very thing we need now. It's important to observe a proper diet and nutrition. Help each other and every one attain good nutrition.

A Letter to President of the Philippines

Dear Mr. President,

                       

                  Greetings from the Vineyard of the Lord!

           My name is Regine Marie P. Ramos. I am a Highschool student at Ilocos Sur National Highschool. I am very thankful to have the privilege to write a letter for you.

                Being a concerned citizen of our country, I want that we Filipinos should live peacefully in our country. I am asking your support for all the programs and projects of the youth. I hope you could provide us trainings to uplift our knowledge. I hope you will fulfill all your promises for our country's development during your State of the Nation Address may you continue your good service to our country.
